Early Bakugan were created by a mysterious power known as Code Eve using DNA from an unknown ultimate fighter. They shattered their home world into two. One has Vestroia's six attribute planets, the other Neathia and Gundalia. Sowers of Neathia and Gundalia were Dragonoids. More Bakugan appeared, and their origin became folklore. However, only two complete descendants of the original two survived at the start of the series.

The Silent Core was taken, and the Infinity Core plummeted to Earth, creating a breach between realms. The Bakugan were in ball shape.
