Maqio’s story began in 2010, when we first stepped into the world of online retail. A year later, we opened our first physical shop in Buxton, UK. The store thrived, but it quickly became clear that online retail offered the greatest opportunity for growth.

By blending our hands‑on experience running a toy shop with the scalability of e‑commerce, we expanded rapidly across multiple global platforms. Our progress was driven by three core priorities:

Within just twelve months, our online revenue grew to more than twenty times that of the physical shop. This rapid growth led us to close the store and fully commit to ecommerce. After several moves, we reached a major milestone: acquiring our own warehouse and outfitting it with modern systems and machinery to increase efficiency, reduce costs, and maintain strong health and safety standards. With further expansion already underway, we’re well positioned for the next phase of our growth.
