His glistening silver paint job earned him the moniker "Merlin the Invisible," and when the sun is shining strongly in the early morning light, he seems almost indecent. This fast, metal locomotive from Thomas & Friends Adventures may be used with a range of Thomas & Friends Adventures playsets and train tracks, as well as with a number of other engines from the famous children's television series.
Thomas & Friends is a British children's television programme that began on ITV on 9 October 1984 and ended on Channel 5 on 20 January 2021. It was produced by the Reverend W. Awdry and Britt Allcroft. It follows the adventures of Thomas, an anthropomorphised tank engine, on the fictional North Western Railway, on the fictional Island of Sodor, with fellow engines Edward, Henry, Gordon, James, Percy, Toby, and several other anthropomorphised vehicles who work for the Fat Controller, and is based on The Railway Series by the Reverend W. Awdry and later his son Christopher. Thomas generally gets himself into difficulty by doing things that should be left to larger, more reasonable engines, but he never loses up on his goal of becoming a "Really Useful Engine."
