PAW Patrol is a Canadian computer-animated children's television programme developed by Keith Chapman that airs on Nickelodeon. Producer Spin Master Entertainment collaborated with Guru Studio on the project, which was animated by the latter. TelevisionOKids, which premiered previews of the programme in August 2013, is the primary channel in Canada where the series is shown. The series began on Nickelodeon in the United States on August 12, 2013, and has since been shown internationally.
The story revolves on a young boy called Ryder, who serves as the leader of a group of search and rescue canines known as the PAW Patrol in the series. Missions to defend the shoreside hamlet of Adventure Bay and the adjacent surroundings are carried out in collaboration by the two men. Each dog is trained to do a particular set of abilities that are based on the skills of emergency service professionals such as firefighters, police officers, and aircraft pilots. They all live in doghouses that can be transformed into specialised cars, known as "pupmobiles," for the sake of carrying out their tasks. They are also outfitted with high-tech backpacks known as "pup packs," which include gear that are specific to the puppies' duties.
Spin Master has turned the programme into a media property and has made a line of toys based on it that will continue to be produced indefinitely. Spin Master's sales of PAW Patrol toys have produced millions of dollars in income for the company and helped to expand Spin Master's influence in the preschool toy industry. In addition to nominations and awards from organisations such as the Academy of Canadian Cinema and Television and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences, the programme itself has earned several accolades and nominations from other organisations as well.
