It’s science…just not as we know it in the Big Bang Theory Trivial Pursuit board game. Strike up your long dormant knowledge of the popular American sitcom. Answer questions on all your favourite characters and moments from the show itself. Bazinga!
Trivial Pursuit is a Canadian board game in which a player's ability to answer questions on general knowledge and popular culture determines whether or not he or she will win. Players move their pieces across a board, with the squares on which they land deciding the topic of a question they are asked from a deck of cards that they have drawn (from six categories including "history" and "science and nature"). Each successful response enables the player's turn to proceed; a correct answer on one of the six "category headquarters" spots wins the player a plastic wedge, which is fitted into the answerer's playing piece to allow the player's turn to proceed. The goal of the game is to gather all six wedges from each "category headquarters" area and then return to the middle "hub" space to answer a question from a category chosen by the other players. The game is played in two phases.
Numerous themed versions of the game have been created since the game's first release in 1981. There are question sets for younger players, and others for a certain time period or as a promotional tie-in for a specific product or service (such as Star Wars, Saturday Night Live, and The Lord of the Rings movies).
