As we are still stuck inside for the foreseeable future, having a streaming service that suits the entire family is more important than ever. There are dozens of steaming services in the UK and choosing the perfect one for your kids can be a difficult task. Content really matters to children and if they don’t see what they want to watch, be prepared for the fallout. Well-made shows can aid kids in learning prosocial behaviours, problem solving, literacy, maths, science and even language. We have put together a list of the best streaming services for your kids.

Amazon Prime Video

There is a huge selection for kids on Amazon Prime including Peppa Pig, Paw Patrol, L.O.L Surprise!, and so so much more. The parental controls offered by Prime are there to help you regulate what your kids watch and make sure they do not watch any inappropriate content. On your Prime Video account, go to settings, choose Parental Controls, then select viewing restrictions to set a child-proof PIN.

Netflix

Netflix hosts children shows like SpongeBob SquarePants, Miraculous, Yo-Kai Watch, the list is almost endless. Netflix has great ways and options to control the content your children can watch. You can create a regular profile and use a PIN code to set viewing restrictions for certain titles, or you can easily create a profile specifically for the kids. If you create a profile for the kids, remember, the only content that will be allowed will be for children 12 and under.

Disney+

Disney+ has kids shows like Kim Possible, Vamprina, The Lion Guard and they are adding more and more all the time. Not only do they have a wide range of kids shows, but you can also find Disney’s catalogue of Star Wars, Marvel and Pixar movies and tv shows. Disney+ comes with parental controls that will stop your kids from watching anything PG or PG13 titles.

Now TV Kids Pass

Now TV is filled with shows from Nickelodeon, Cartoon Network and even CBBC and Cbeebies. You can find shows like Pokemon, Thomas and Friends and The Gruffalo to name just a few. As this subscription is solely for children’s TV there is now need for PINs or parental controls. Your child can watch thousands of episodes of kids shows on demand.
