Hogwarts Legacy, The exciting new Harry Potter Game
Hogwarts Legacy is an exciting new role-playing game set in the wizarding world of Harry Potter. It allows you to create your very own wizard, set in the 1800s as you attend Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry as a new student, casting spells, brewing potions and more. It is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC. However, PS4 and Xbox One users will need to wait until April 4th. It will also be available on the Nintendo Switch on the 25th of July.
The game's free-roaming gives an exciting view of the wizarding world, as you'll be able to explore never-seen-before locations and uncover secrets along the way. And being set in the 1800s, which is a first for the franchise, it provides a unique look into how Hogwarts was before Harry and his friends enrolled there. Not only can you explore Hogwarts, but you can even venture off the grounds and go to the surrounding villages, enter The Forbidden Forest, shop at Hogsmeade and much more, all on the same map.
As you continue to play the game you can choose to either follow the main story or complete side quests from certain characters located around the world. The main story centres around the player character realising they have a unique ability to wield and see a form of ancient magic. With this, you must investigate and learn more about this strange power by exploring the world. You’ll meet fellow witches, wizards and other magical beings as well as battling evil creatures and dark wizards. The more you play this thrilling story, the more you unlock. For example, as you progress through the missions, the defence against the dark arts teacher might help you learn a new spell or the potions teacher may help you brew up a new concoction to make you stronger against enemies. Side quests will become available as you play through the main story. These will allow you to gain access to a secret duelling club or even find a lost family heirloom in the great lake.
