Releasing on the 12th Of May for the Nintendo Switch, The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom promises to be a massive and ambitious sequel, building on the success of Breath Of The Wild, which sold over 29 million copies since its release back in 2017. Now, as the release date of Tears Of The Kingdom draws near, we've gathered all the latest information on the highly-anticipated instalment of this beloved franchise. Join us as we explore what's new in this upcoming game and get ready to embark on another unforgettable journey through the land (and skies?) of Hyrule!

So what do we know about the game so far? Nintendo has kept a tight lid on details about The Legend Of Zelda Tears Of The Kingdom, likely to preserve the game's story and gameplay surprises. Nevertheless, some thrilling new features have been revealed in recent trailers. Link will have access to a variety of new abilities, including Recall, letting him send objects back to their original location. Other features include Fuse, which allows him to combine weapons together to make new ones, Ultrahand, which enables him to attach world objects to create vehicles, and Ascend, a useful tool for traversing ceilings. All these exciting new abilities will help him explore the new Hyrule, which since the first game, has changed massively.

Although The Legend Of Zelda: Tears Of The Kingdom takes place in the same Hyrule as its predecessor, it presents a vastly different landscape. Portions of the land have been lifted into the sky, requiring players to venture beyond the ground to explore floating islands and defeat any enemies who have set up camps there. Along the way, players can also collect various items and complete shrines, which have returned from the previous game. And that's not all! This new game also introduces the addition of sprawling dungeons, allowing players to explore vast cave systems filled with secrets to uncover. While we don't know much about the story, we're sure this was intentional, as you can discover it for yourself if you decide to pick up the game when it releases on the Nintendo Switch on the 12th Of May!
