Originally set to release last year, the newest instalment of the Transformers franchise is now releasing this year on the 9th of June.  It's a prequel to the original series and takes place after the Bumblebee movie that was released back in 2016.

The plot will introduce three new robot tribes - Maximals, Predacons and Terrorcons. The character Optimus Primal, is the leader of the Maximals, who are descendants of the Autobots. They are very similar to the Autobots, however they have one big difference: instead of transforming into vehicles, they can turn into animals. We don't know much else about the plot, but it is apparently “unlike any Transformers movie fans have seen before”.

The film also sees the legendary voice actor Peter Cullen reprising his role as the voice of Optimus Prime. He's been voicing the character since the original 1980s Transformers animated series, so it's amazing to see him return yet again!
